DGCT Admission

Admission to BE and B.Tech is done through TNEA Counselling. The intake for BE Lateral Entry courses (all available BE disciplines in DGCT) is 24 seats per branch. Candidates seeking admission under Management Quota can contact the institute for the same/ collect the application form from the institute’s fee counter by paying the prescribed application fee in cash. Management quota candidates do not require to register for TNEA/ TANCA counselling. Such candidates are admitted through marks obtained in the last qualifying exam on a merit basis. The vacant seats left after admitting GATE candidates are filled with TANCET.

DGCT Eligibility Criteria

The courses offered by DGCT have different eligibility criteria which the students must have qualified in order to get admission to the college. The eligibility criteria for the courses are mentioned below.

DGCT B.Tech/ BE Eligibility

• Candidate must have completed 10+2 with Mathematics & Physics/ Chemistry with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved category candidates).
• The candidate must have a valid score of TNEA.
• For Lateral Entry, Engineering Diploma holders/ B.Sc Mathematics graduates with 50% aggregate marks are given preference.

DGCT ME Eligibility

• Candidate must have a BE/ B.Tech in the relevant discipline with 50% marks.
• Candidates with a valid GATE score are given the first preference for ME admission.
