The College of Engineering Roorkee was established in the year 1998. The college is spread over 75 acres of land. It is approved by AICTE. It aims to impart technical education to the students in the field of Engineering & Management. It is affiliated to Uttarakhand Technical University. The college of Engineering has a school of Management which houses the departments of Management, Computer Application, and Agriculture. The BBA, B.Com, and BCA courses are affiliated to Sri Dev Suman University, Uttarakhand.

The college provides a wide range of facilities to the students and faculties like a multi-purpose auditorium, library, cafeteria, classrooms, lush green environment, etc. It has a number of clubs that organize cultural and co-curricular activities. The placement cell of the college maintains a good relationship with many reputed companies thereby increasing the chance of the students getting placed.

The COER Roorkee offers various courses. It provides Engineering courses in various disciplines. It also has management, commerce, and science courses. The College of Engineering admission is based on merit and the scores of qualifying exams.

College of Engineering Infrastructure Facilities:

 The college has a large number of infrastructural facilities. It has laboratories which are well-equipped with the necessary machines and equipment to impart practical knowledge to the students. It also has workshops for B.Tech students.

It has a conference room with modern infrastructure. It has Wi-Fi facilities. It also has a centralized computer center which is well-equipped. It has a multi-purpose auditorium with a capacity of 900.

The college library is fully computerized. It is accessible until midnight. It offers a large collection of books including prescribed textbooks and reference books. It also has a number of journals both national and international.

College of Engineering Placement Highlights: 

The college provides placement to the students by inviting various reputed companies to the campus. The students are also provided an internship during the summer.  Some of the companies wherein the students do their internship are BHEL, L&T, ONGC, JBM, TCS, HP, Ashok Leyland, Oracle India Pvt Ltd., etc.

The COER placement cell aims to increase the employability of the students. The highest package so far is INR 16 Lakhs per annum and the average package is INR 6.5 Lakhs. The major recruiters that visit the campus are as mentioned below.

College of Engineering Eligibility Criteria:

COER Admission:

The admission to the various courses is based on the eligibility criteria. The candidates should have the necessary scores in the qualifying examinations. The candidates can register online on the college website. They also need to submit the relevant documents as mentioned by the college.

COER Hostel Details:

The college provides a separate hostel for both girls and boys. The College of Engineering facilities includes laundry and ironing facilities, separate gymnasium for girls and boys, 24 hours power supply, fresh drinking water, a refrigerator, common room, newspaper, etc.

The students can visit the physician free of charge twice a week.  It also provides indoor and outdoor game facilities. Students can access the volleyball, basketball, and badminton courts at night also. They are also provided a transport facility for off-campus placements.

The hostel provides vegetarian food only. The menu is decided by the student committee.
