Established in the year 1968, APS University aims to provide quality education, develop human resources, scientific temper, connectivity, and improve the socio-economic status of the society. The University offers both learning and teaching programs to graduate students. APS University affiliated Colleges' courses are approved by UGC.

University provides quality education, develop human resource, improve literacy, scientific temper, connectivity, and improve the socio-economic status of people as a whole and help deprived sections of our society in particular. The University campus is present in an environmentally friendly place lying on either side of the Rewa-Sirmour Road. The APS University admission is based on merit and scores of the entrance exam conducted by the University.

The APS University campus is spread across 246.20 acres of land to the north of Rewa city at a distance of 5 km. The facilities provided by the university are unique and excellent.

• There is a separate administrative block and all the educational departments, Tribal Centre, Computer Centre, Vikram Space Physics Centre, USIC are present within the University complex.
• APS University Facilities include a central library, Antar Bharati, Arjun chhatra griha, guest house, yoga hall hostels for boys and girls, auditorium, stadium, and staff quarters within the campus.
• The Library has around 75000 books, 8015 research papers and can accommodate 100 students at once.
