Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani was founded in 2008. A total of 200 acres make up the campus. There are 559 faculty members on the campus in total. A total of  24 courses across several disciplines are available at BITS Hyderabad. The NAAC has accredited the institution. Admissions to BITS Pilani Hyderabad for B.E, B.Pharm, and M.Sc. are determined by the results of the BITSAT entrance exam, which is conducted by BITS. The institute provides the facility of scholarships to deserving and needy students. The merit-cum-means scholarships are given to academically talented students from financially underprivileged families. The GATE 2024 exam will be held from Feb 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024.

BITS Hyderabad Departments

BITS Hyderabad Admission

BITS Pilani Hyderabad offers admissions at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. These courses are available in the following streams: sciences, business, engineering & architecture, computer application & IT, and pharmacy. Admissions to BITS Pilani Hyderabad's B.E, B.Pharm, and M.Sc. programmes are granted based on BITSAT exam performance. Students who have passed the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) or Graduate Test in Engineering (GATE) are eligible for admission to the M.E./M.Pharm. programmes (GPAT). The BITS higher degree admission test will be taken by students who have not taken the GATE or GPAT. Admissions to M.Phil. programmes at BITS Pilani Hyderabad are made based on performance in written tests and on-site interviews.

BITS Hyderabad Eligibility Criteria

BITS Hyderabad offers a wide range of courses in various fields, each with a different set of eligibility criteria. The criteria for a few of the university's courses are listed below.

BE Eligibility Criteria 

• The candidate must have earned at least 60% overall in the 10+2 exam from a recognized board in physics, chemistry, and mathematics.
• The candidate must have achieved an overall PCM score of 75%.

M.SC Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must have completed a bachelor's degree in at least three years following the 10+2+3 pattern from a recognized university.

ME Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must hold any first BITS degree or its equivalent with at least 60% marks and sufficient preparation in the related field.

BITS Hyderabad occupies 200 acres of space. A budget of about Rs. 270 crores is allocated for the campus' construction, which will be finished in three stages. The first 600 students were admitted in August 2008, and the campus officially opened. Approximately 700 brilliant individuals are accepted each year into the first-year, graduate-level, and Ph.D. degrees. With over 2800 students living there, the campus is entirely residential.
