Andhra Loyola College was established in the year 1953 and is maintained by the members of the Society of Jesus [Jesuits]. The college has collaborations with several renowned universities and offers courses from higher secondary to research programmes. The college was set up on the request of Catholic bishops in Andhra Pradesh.

It is an autonomous college and has got 'Star College' status by DBT. It offers quality education in the field of Science, Arts, Commerce and many more. Andhra Loyola College Admissions is done as per the guidelines of the University and State Government.

The college has got state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities. There are 183 well qualified full-time lecturers, 51 of whom are doctoral degree-holders. In the year 2004, the college won the status as "College with Potential for Excellence" from UGC.

Andhra Loyola College Infrastructure Facilities:

• The college has a Computer Centre comprising around 620 systems, 25 licensed software and all the systems are connected through LAN.
• Loyal College has separate libraries for degree and postgraduate students.
• The UG Library has a rich collection of 83,700 volumes, 63,800 textbooks, journals, periodicals, 18,000 reference books, 1818 CDs, etc.
• Whereas the PG Library has a good collection of 9134 books, subscribes to nearly 200 journals and has a reading room facility with a seating capacity of 100.
• Sports facilities provided by college includes a football ground, a cricket field, a hockey field, 4 volleyball courts, 4 shuttle badminton courts, 1 multi-gym in a spacious indoor stadium, 2 basketball courts, 1 handball court, 3 lawn tennis courts, 4 table tennis tables, and a ball badminton court.
• Other facilities include Bank, Bookshop, Visual Communication Audio and Video Studios, Canteen, Seminar Halls, Laboratories, Prayer Hall, etc.

• Students can apply offline by visiting the college in official hours, and to get the application form and prospectus, Rs.200 must be paid at the cash counter.
• Students can also download the application form from the college website and send it by post with a DD of INR 220/-.
• The selected candidates will then be called for the Interview Process.

Andhra Loyola College Hostel Details:

• The college has a separate girls hostel.
• The accommodation capacity of the hostel is 210.
• There are 2 hostels for boys one is for Catholics and other for non-Catholics.
• The college provides all the necessary amenities in the hostels.
