The Amrita School of Engineering [ASE], Bangalore was founded in the year 2002 and it is one of the four schools of engineering under the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, a private deemed university. It has a research center for the faculty and students to discover and develop new ideas and practices in the field of technology.

Amrita School of Engineering was established under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956, is accredited with Grade ‘A’ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council [NAAC], and All India Council for Technical Education [AICTE]. ASE offers B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. programs in a large number of disciplines. Some of the highlights of the university are listed below.

ASE has put in place several scholarship schemes including tuition/fee waiver (partial or full) that is granted to students based on their AEEE rank at the time of admission counseling, stipends to cover living expenses, and health benefits expenses are also provided. The amounts depend on the scheme, the academic program, location, etc. The Institute has announced Rs.3 crores worth scholarships for 300 top-ranked students.

ASE Eligibility Criteria :

All the courses offered by the institute have different eligibility criteria depending upon the type of program offered. The eligibility criteria are mentioned below :

ASE Admission:

The Amrita School of Engineering, Bangalore admission are based on the eligibility criteria and the entrance test in some cases. More details regarding admission are mentioned below :

B.Tech: Students are granted admission to this course on the basis of a valid score in the Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam [AEEE] held by Amrita University. JEE Mains and SAT qualified candidates are exempted from the University-conducted entrance test.

M.Tech: Students are granted admission to this course on the basis of a valid score in the Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam [AEEE] or GATE.

M.Sc: Admission is based on a candidate's marks in the bachelor’s degree.

Ph.D.: Admission is based on the written exam conducted by the University. Candidates who have qualified UGC NET, CSIR NET, GATE are directly called for the PI round.

ASE Hostel Details:

ASE Bangalore offers relevant hostel facilities to all the students. More information related to hostel facilities is mentioned below :

• The hostel is available on a sharing basis.
• 24/7 hrs of electricity and water are provided in the hostel.
• ASE provides cozy and clean rooms for the students.
• There are six hostels on the campus, two for girls and four for boys.
• Students seeking admission to the hostel have to apply separately in the prescribed application form.
• The hostels are under the control of the Chief Warden.
• There is a Deputy Chief Warden, Faculty Wardens, and Resident Wardens to assist the Chief Warden.
• Pure and wholesome vegetarian food is served in buffet style in the hostel. Mathura, Yashodha, and Devaki hostels have dining facilities for the students.
• ASE Facilities include all the facilities like cafeteria, labs, transportation, etc.
