Eligibility Criteria for National Law University and Judicial Academy, Guwahati

Eligibility Criteria for BA LLB {Hons.}

  • Candidate must have passed 10+2 examinationwith minimum 50% marks in the aggregate (45% marks in case of SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities).
  • Should be below 20 years of age.
  • The candidates appearing in or awaiting results of the qualifying examination can also apply.

Eligibility Criteria for LLM

  • The candidates appearing in or awaiting results of the qualifying examination may also apply and appear for the CLAT.
  • Those candidates, those who do not clear the qualifying examination with the requisite marks and fail to produce result on the date of counselling, and those who get compartments / re-appear in any subject in the qualifying examination, shall be cancelled and the subsequent securing of qualifying marks shall not be considered at any stage.

Application Process for National Law University and Judicial Academy, Guwahati

  • Go to the official website and fill the online application form and upload photograph, signature, birth certificate and category certificate.
  • Application fees vary for GC and NRI.
  • Applicants must pay the application fee either by online/offline mode.
  • After paying the application fee applicants have to submit the application form for successful registration.

Admission Process for National Law University and Judicial Academy, Guwahati

Selection of the of the eligible applicant seeking admission will be based on the rank in the merit list of CLAT examination conducted by the university.


Reservation is done as follows:

  • 30% seats are reserved for eligible female applicants seeking admission to B.A, L.L.B (Hons) course.
  • 15 seats are reserved for eligible foreign national candidates seeking admission.
