Eligibility criteria at L.B.S. College of Engineering, Kasaragod

Eligibility criteria for B.Tech:

Candidates included in the entrance rank list published by CEE, Kerala, and admission to the Engineering course should otherwise satisfy the rules regarding the minimum academic requirements for the qualifying examination enumerated as follows:

• The candidate must have passed Higher Secondary Examination/equivalent.
• The candidate must have passed with 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics put together.
• The candidates who have completed 3-year Diploma/equivalent must have passed with 50% in marks in the final Diploma examination.
• Relaxation in Marks: Candidates belonging to Socially & Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) with a total annual family income up to Rs.2.5 lakhs will get a relaxation of 50% marks with a total annual family income up to Rs.2.5 lakhs will get a relaxation of 5% marks i.e. 45% marks in mathematics and 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics put LBS College of Engineering, Kasaragod, Kerala | 2 together in the qualify examination. The Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes candidates need only a pass in the qualifying examination.

Application Process for B.Tech:

• Applications for the Entrance Examination and for admission to the professional courses (Engineering/Medical/Agricultural courses) are invited by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Government of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram, through a common Notification issued by them.

Admission process at L.B.S. College of Engineering, Kasaragod

Admission Process for B.Tech:

• Admissions are based on the Engineering Entrance Examination conducted by the Government of Kerala.
• This being a Government Institution, only candidates on the basis of merit/rank accessed in the Engineering Entrance Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Government of Kerala, alone have been selected for admission.
• The admission for both the merit quota and management quota is purely based on the rank secured in the Common Entrance Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Govt. of Kerala.
• The difference between the merit quota and management quota is the amount of fee that has to be paid by the candidates.
• 15% of the seats are reserved for NRIs; the admission is based on the merit in the qualifying examination.
• The candidates should appear for the Lateral Entry Test conducted for the diploma holders and they should be included in the rank list.
• Selection of candidates to all seats will be made on the basis of the rank obtained in the LET examination subject to rules.
